Midseason Update

Hard to believe the summer is going by so quickly - we've completed 5 out of 6 Lipton Cup events for the year and are nearly a month away from the start of the 2013 International 14 Worlds in Toronto.

Racing so far this year has been intense, with as many as 17 boats on the starting line in the most recent Lipton Cup event at the National Yacht Club.

The final regatta of this year's Lipton Cup will be the CDA Championships held at CORK OCR in Kingston. Racing will start on Saturday the 17th and run to Monday the 19th, with as many as 5 races scheduled per day, in that famous Kingston thermal.  Lipton Cup standings are extremely tight - 3 points separates the top four competitors!  Scoring is based on regatta standings for competitors, or number of entries + 1 for non-competitors in each event.  One "drop regatta" will be allowed when the CDAs are complete, and ties will be broken first by the number of regattas attended, then by the highest standing in attended regattas.
